Retrofitting interior upgrade

Looking to really tart up my 94 Defender 110 300Tdi over the course of the next 12 months and that includes looking at replacing the interior. When it comes to seats is it possible to retro fit any late defender interior???
 
I've Got 2013 XS half leather seats in my 94. Heated seats are great in the cold weather, slightly thicker than the standard seats but are more comfortable.
Just 4 bolts per seat and job done.
 
I'd go for a simple retrim kit for the original seats. Over time the foam degrades and falls apart resulting in lumpy, unsupportive seat cushions. The outer covers on mine were in a good state so I just replaced the base foams, but replacement covers are available as well. If you're looking to switch to leather covers this could be a good option. Once refurbished, the original seats are actually pretty good. Also, access to the battery isn't impeded and it keeps everything standard.

The forward-facing rear seats from a 2007-16 model won't fit properly as the wheel arch boxes are a different shape. This allows the rear seats to fit far enough apart to get to them. If you fit forward-facing seats in an older model, they usually end up too close together. This means you have to fold one up to get in and out. Seeing as they are usually fitted with young people in mind, I fail to see how this is acceptable from a safety perspective.

Bloody hell! the price!! I have just now come back from North of the border and am now the proud owner of a late '95 300tdi 90" for £300 more than a set of seats! Oh yeah, it's only done 69k miles. That puts your seats in perspective for me.

lol. I love my 110 and this year will be looking to carry out a full rebuild inclusive of galvanised chassis, new doors and full respray. Steering box, full steering and suspension replacement. Hence throwing in the old tatty interior would be a crying shame. Not bothered about cost as she is a keeper.
 
Exmoor trim are probably the best place for refurbishing your seats.

They do full kits for the front and 2nd row bench, including leather covers. Doesn't look like there's a leather option for the rear tip-up seats though. If you wanted leather seats and don't frequently use the load area seats, the simplest option would be to remove them for extra rear load space.

I'm only really after the 1st and 2nd row seats.
 
Yeah, sorry about that, a bit churlish of me I just got to thinking how much I have spent on my army 90. It's the stuff of nightmares.

Yeah the back seats are ok for occasional use but not brilliant. On a 110 you usually have enough seating space without them so if they're knackered you might as well take them out. They can take up quite a bit of space.
