Retro Power Steering

Hi all from Norfolk newbie.
I have introduced myself in Newbie section but have a question I think is more appropriate here.
Can I retro fit Power Steering to a 1989 Def 90 with 200tdi and what approx costs may be involved?
The answer to this effects a decision to buy said vehicle which is pretty tricked up, ( more than my current driving skills can justify but which i hope to do something about).

Retro fitting power steering isn't a problem, i'd have thought the biggest hassle would be finding the pump bracket to bolt to the block, they're a fortune new.

other than that it depends on if you're wanting to go for a new steering box? prob around £200 new. if not you'd prob get it all don for around £200-£250 second hand.

All academic now thanks. The guy who owns the 90 I`m after, now tells me it does have Power Steering!!!!!!!!!
If its your vehicle shouldn`t ya know??
