Restoring standard ECU settings?

The missus's 2003 TD5 90 (which we bought in June) has clearly been remapped at some stage, as it goes like a rocket.
However it also smokes like a tramp steamer and the throttle is really sensitive.
I have been unable to find out who or where it was remapped, the previous owner says he knows nothing about it.
How can l get the ECU restored to standard factory settings?
Do l have to take it to the main dealer?

Any decent remap guy should be able to do it, not sure on costs?

Ring Mike at Dynachip, I think he said he has standard maps on file when he mapped mine.

Failing that you could get it mapped again properly

Thanks l will get it looked at, still trying to find out who did the remap in the first place.
Waiting for a reply from the last but one owner!

I'm in a similar boat. I adjusted the waste gate as this was a massive part of the problem. It wasn't shutting properly and led to black smoke on initial throttle due to the turbo not spooling up straight away
