Reprogramming of remote

Hi would anyone know someone in the Epping Forest area who could do this? We have bought one from eBay today so it should arrive shortly. It is a Freelander 1 2003 and only came with one key and one remote. Thanks in advance.

If it's anything like many other cars with this type of key it can only be programmed by a dealer and then only if you buy the new remote from them. Hope someone else comes up with a better answer but don't keep your fingers crossed. ebay sellers usually state that the remote can be programmed (timpsons etc) but that is usually so they can sell you a remote.

to be honest...to save any hassle and wasted time you might as well bite the bullet, take your v5 to the dealers and order a new key and fob from them, it'll cost you over 100 quid but at least it will work.....

I got one from a breaker. Had a 4x4 specialist code it in for me. Took 1 min to do. All ok now. He was a friend, so very cheap. I think they charge around £40.00 to do this. Sorry I'm in Berkshire. Good luck
