Thanks for the offers gents - very kind. I think I'll try to get my old ones out by snipping the mesh around the welds with a set of side cutters. Think I'll try and glue them back in Aaron. Don't want to drill holes through the galv. Certainly next to an easy water inlet!
Not today though, bursts of occasional sunshine between very heavy rain showers. The weekend weather has been poor up here this year. In contrast, when I started the rebuild last year it was great weekend weather.
