Bought a new set of hinges to replace my sagging ones. Tried the usual impact driver - no chance would that budge them. So had to grind them off and then gradually lubricate, turn, lubricate, turn half a turn, quarter of a turn back and so on for blodey ages to get the bolts out. Eventually they came out though.
Now...the hinges were bought as Series 3/Defender ones...just a little note, if you have a 2 or 2a (not sure up to what year) you will have to modify the door pillar slightly. The old door pillars have a plate inside the pillar for the door hinge to screw into...the new ones have the clip-on grommits (you know what I mean). It would have been fine if the plate in the pillar had survived, but it didn't - so what I had to do was the make a square hole big enough for the clips to get inside the pillar and secondly secure to - sorted!
My next top tip of the day...the hinges are sided...do NOT spend hours trying to figure out why on earth you cannot get things to align correctly, start using spacer washers, swear, curse and wish you hadn't started and think that either the bulkhead or the doors must be twisted. No one would be that stupid of course...*cough*
