Despite all online lookups saying otherwise, I have 255/55/18 on the car. I've decided that the front 2 need to be replaced to, hopefully, get rid of a slight vibration/wobble I have at slow speed and higher speeds. Most likely due to slight warp/bulge that I can't immediately see. They are also different tyres across the axle.

Anyway, although it has been done to death regarding recommendations, I'll be heading oop norf tomorrow afternoon so I don't have time to order tyres elsewhere and then have them fitted in a few days. I need to drive in to some place local and have them replaced.

So, with that in mind, and the fact no-one seems to stock General Grabbers etc, I'm stuck with what various places offer such as BRidgestone, Falken, Westlake Barum etc.

Can anyone recommend a suitable tyre to go for that wont be too WTF on the road and, at the same time, wont make hurt the wallet too much?

Had been looking at this lot:

255 55 r18 Tyres from National Tyres and Autocare

i have these same tyres in the same size. no problems what so ever got mine from internet site had an indy fit n balance them for me

I had ordered the Grabbers but when it came to it, didn't see the point in paying £135 each for what is mostly road based mileage.
Did a bit of research and the Roadians were getting good press

Been running the nexans for about five years now good tyres for the money, had no problems in snow mud or floods so well happy:)

Ended up going for Pirelli Scorpions - good friend of mine owns a garage so got them at under £100 per tyre :)

Fitting usually includes valve, balance and disposal of the old tyre. £15 isn't too bad..but I can't remember the last time I paid for that lol

Iv been quoted mine are 255/60r18 thou £90 fitted new valve balanced 2 backs are near brand new and the front o/s is only 6month older then them but my n/s is just just above markers new one tomorrow morning.
