replacement freelander vin plate

hello can anyone help me i am looking for the contact details for the right people at landrover concerning a replacement dash mounted vin plate ?
i bought the freelander with it missing but everything checked out so i didnt worry to much but i travell a lot now and when i leave the EU with the new stricter controlls at the border i always get bother . a five min border crossing can take an hour with interrogationd and checking everything car related and personal ! not nice !
i have tried here in slo but between my lack of the native lingo and their not so helpfull staff i gave up . i will be back in england again soon and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction and save me a very large international phone bill ?

I may be wrong but I don't think they will supply one.

They will supply one as there is more than one way to identify a vehicle However they may insist on a letter from DVLA stating that the vehicle has been inspected and that it is the vehicle to which the log book refers. I had this problem with a stolen & recovered escort I bought from Simpsons salvage nr York. Seems that the vin plate had been removed and had found it's way on to another escort (after it was recovered to simpsons). DVLA inspected both vehicles in order to ascertain, which was the ringer. Not mne by the way.

thats a bit rubbish as i was intending on flying back to get it !
a bloody expensive vin plate if i have to drive 18 hours back to show the vehicle to them
