As far as I am aware they are more or less the same upto TD5, give or take the placement of some items e.g. fuel filter. Don't quote me on that though.

If yours is a 90 or 110 then yes it will fit with a bit of chopping about. I can't comment if it's a series and can't remember what year series became 90's etc.

1983: Land Rover 90 (Ninety)/110 (One-Ten)/127 (renamed Defender in 1990) introduced according to wikipedia, which is what I thought too...
