This weekend's project was replacing the Jerry can locker in my beastie. Getting the locker was a mission in itself, but that a different tale! I extracted the old locker with the usual defender surgical precision and steady hand. Inspection of the resultant gaping maw showed evidence of the same galvanic corrosion that had had its way with the old locker.

In its current state the panel is OK for now, but in the future either needs some TIG touching up or replacing.

How much should I expect to pay for a panel, either new or from a breakers yard? Mine is the 3 door 110. It seems to be a case of removing the rear corner flang/reinforcing plate, wheel arches and maybe the roof (?) Is it that easy?

Thanks. Ben

I think you might be looking at replacing the whole of the rear tub, Benny! The rear wings do not come off as a separate panel. It's spot welded to the inner wheel arch and other panels. :( If that's what you're meaning.
