Morning all,

the rear fog light was broken so i have replaced this and wired per the existing lamp (which i never saw operating).

when the ignition key is in and the side or headlights are on the fog lamp comes on. Toggling the fog lamp stick on the right of the steering wheel does not turn the lamp on or off, although it does turn the dash fog light indicator on/off.

has it been wired to the running lights/break lights incorrectly?

also the wiring is a mess… does anyone know of a good way to organise wiring/connections etc for the rear lights?

It does sound like the wires in the O/S rear tub need sorting out. A chock block junction box is handy [ find on flea bay ] If you have trailer socket that may also need a refresh.
One problem I have come across several times is where the trailer wires have been "scotch locked" [ horrible things ] to the main loom, they will sooner or later cause problems.

Sorted… i had confused the live wire from the indicator bulb to the fog…. Needed to go to a different connector. Sorted now. Thanks for the chock block junction recommendation, will take a look.
