After a gargantuan trip on Sunday (I left the house at 04.45 and got home at 22.30) to north of Dundee and back I'm the proud owner of a 1964 Series 2a 88". It's on new springs, engine runs, chassis is solid and bulkhead is semi OK and because I know you like pictures here's a few...

This last one is a tub I'd already got but I need to replace the rear panel, anyone any tips cos so far I've removed 50 spot welds and it's still solid

It's missing electrics, proper doors and various smaller bits so I'll be picking brains a bit, soz

was it in bits when you collected it or has that happened since you got back?

is that an lpg tank in the back? or your compressor
It's my compressor, I couldn't be bothered to get it back to the shed. It was pretty much like that when I picked it up I just took a few loose bits off to tow it. Bloody water pump has just gone on my Defender on my way to take the trailer back, I'm sat awaiting recovery, the irony of having an empty car transporter behind my broken down tratter. At least it's not raining.....

That's a solid looking landy, looks like its been kept outside, its all a bit mouldy but that cleans up OK. Like the rear door set up, they are difficult to source. Is that a duck blue engine? Military origins? A good respray and some good period tyres and it'll look great. Good luck with the project.

Yup. still got a bit of blue paint on the engine for authenticity. You're going to have tons of fun with that, I'm sure.

Just bought another one thinking if nothing else I could use it for spares but it's to good to strip so the red one is first to get done cos it's first on the drive then this one
