As most of you know, I will no longer be repairing/replacing Becm's after 6th October 2011 as I have sold the kit on to a member in Scotland who I am sure will continue to offer the service.

I would just like to add that I have a database of all Becm's that I have repaired or replaced over the years which includes all relevant information relating to Settings and Coding data.
I have no intentions whatsoever of deleting this information and will gladly email it to those people if they require it, even in years to come.

Looking through the files, I came across Wrififer from Scotland..Do any of you Old Timers remember him... ???????????:D:D:D

Even though he is a Scotsman, No.:D:D

Many of us "Old Timers" will remember him, if the Dementia has not already taken hold...as a member who shot from "Newbie" status to "Senior Member" in the space of a couple of days due to the number of posts he placed.
Poor Sod bought a P38 with a load, and I mean a load of problems. It was his first P38 and to say he was green about them was an understatement !! However, given his lack of knowledge, this did not distract from his enthusiasm and within days had virtually dismantled the engine down to the last nut & bolt with the guidance...and usual "Slagging" from members which he took in his stride.
Anyway, fair play to him, he got the P38 running and mananged to sell it on shortly after and then disappeared into the sunset from the forum.
If you have the time, do a search on his posts and you will see what I mean !!
Gavbriggs, Gemsdad, myself and others contributed to his problems on an hourly basis and will remember him as a legend !!
Even the guy's guide dog went and hid in a corner when he bought it.

:welcome2:
Hi Rick..How's things down South ?????

I have the kit until 6th October when I will be going over to Scotland to deliver it, so I'm still "Open for business" until then.
I shall be over there for a couple of days, including the travelling to give the new owner some tuition on how it works and what it does, especially the use of the test rig.
The P38 is for sale so I will not have the need for the additional "Insurance" that the Faultmate gives.

All the best
John:)

Irish, will you be swinging by Chesterfield on your visit by any chance???

Travelling over from Belfast to Stranraer then up to Kilmarnock and back home the next day after giving the new owner a crash course on it.

Unfortunately won't be able to fit the "Short" hop from Kilmarnock to Chesterfield in.
I shall definately be over early December though.
:)

You retired and sold the kit a year too late John. I would have been very interested if I hadn't already bought my Faultmate, the test rig would have been very useful and saved me making my own. C'est la vie,
