I'm sure there must be a knack to this - I've got the nut off the upper bolt on the panhard rod on my trialer (believed to be a 110 front axle) but cannot extract the bolt. It will not unscrew, have tried to knock it out (possibly too gently). The bolt turns with extreme difficulty - I expect the current bush is rubber. Any hints please?

It is possible that the bolt has seized to the inner sleeve of the bush, if so I would cut either side of the bush with the grinder so the arm will come out and replace the bolt.

Thanks Aaron, the bolt will move about 10mm or so after a lot of twisting but it is incredibly stiff. Didn't know the rubber bushes has a sleeve, the replacement poly ones do though :)

many a time ive had the same problem as you, the struggling to turn it is because its seized so your trying to tear the sleeve off the rubber.

you can soak it in penetrating oil, and get out the BIG hammer,

more likely though that yourll have to cut it off.
