My Hinges were shot and the door just wouldn't line up with lot's of play in the pin, I ordered new ones but was unable to get the hinge off with an Impact driver and for some reason Just couldn't drill it out.

Out came the Angle Grinder :)

I just cut through the Hinge itself to release it, Only works this way if you don't want to reuse the hinge :)

what was the hinge on mate ?

as the pin on my rear door hinge (disco 1) the lower one, broke making closing the door a right pain, so me being me used my angle grinder with a thin slitting disc in to cut a slit longways along the hinge to enable the 3 broken bits of pin to be knocked out, then I found a nice same sized rod as the pin, cut to size lengthways, tapped in place, then welded the slit line up, a bit of same colour paint over the welded areas, oiled the pin, as good as new and no bashing and crashing about or re aligning up after -
just the same as before.

been like that foe a few years now, just needs spray grease or oiling now and again..
