Removing ABS ?

For what its worth my disco is still the correct shape thanks to my abs, without abs I would have definitely ploughed into the back of the **** that stopped to let a squirrel cross the road

I have had a 300tdi disco without abs and it was not very good at stopping in a hurry. The system is pretty simple and its usually just a sensor thats got moved or oil on it, if you are capable of removing the system and converting it to non abs you are certainally capable of repairing it

just my opinion

ty ccrdave im NOT capable of anything lol only checkin oil, water  im going to get a bulb tomorrow and then get a mechanic to have a look at the whole system and get what needs fixing fixed i would never remove it or have it removed just hope its not going to be too heavy on my pocket ty for reply

Sorry to jump in and ask a question, but is there any easy way to fit a 'kill switch' for the abs?

I heard some of the old defenders had them in the centre console  as when off roading, and in the snow, abs is not good.....so just thinking of fitting a kill switch, as will be easier than taking out the relay everytime, as I don't think thats the best way?

Cheers

well how stupid do i feel :( before paying someone to look at car i got some pictures off the internet and the reason i have no bulb in ABS warning light is cos I DONT have ABS lol so that solves that problem DOH !!!!!!
