Hi again.

A while back, I had to replace the driver door lock and handle after some scrote used a large screwdriver to beak the lock. I replaced with a second hand one but, since doing so, I have to lock the door with the key, as the lock won't lock via the remote. The other three doors DO lock using the remote for some reason.
Words of wisdom welcomed.

Kind regards,

Mike.

Sounds like tge central locking motor might be burnt out. Was the old one OK? They just clip in and out so can be swapped over.

Great info! Is there one per door then? If so, what does it look like please?

Many thanks,

Mike.

The motor? Little silver motor inside the lock actuator unit. Larger one does central locking. Smaller one is superlock. I posted pictures somewhere once. Front ones are the same. Cannot remember if the rears are. MGF from same year have the same motors inside.
