hiya All,
Bought my td5 about a year ago and now stuff starting to play up. first to go was ignition barrel so looked on here and found good advice to fix. ie land rover dealer wanted £220 plus fitting and i done it myself stripped and repaired from local lock place for £28. felt a bit smug about that one.
My key remote is unlocking car but the driver door is staying locked so I have to use key maually. Any ideas??
Also bit of a water leak going on. had new rad in first couple of weeks but is now seaping water. I cant see anything obvious.

Any body else know of any primary areas i should have a look at.

Any replies are greatly appreciated.

Jon

Dunno if the TD5 is the same (I suspect it is) but when the locks stop operating it's mostly 'cos a small spring is bent/broken ... look on ebay for door springs, small cirsular, handed sprong ... Should be an easy job to do but is so fiddly and a bitch to remove the lock ... ;)

No the spring is a D1 issue. D2's have a self contained lock ie. it now includes the c/locking actuator.

OK, not surprised 'cos they really are a bitch to do on the D1, cheers for the info.

really appreciated for the replies thanks. Looks like I will be able to spend a weekend playing with it then. :high5:
