Help needed again I’ve possible could someone tell me what power should be going to relay 5 I’ve got live to pin 30 nothing to pin 85 negative to 86 & 87 but do get 12.4 when I put power to that relay just asking because the hevac Is showing heated windscreen fault on nanocom

From ETM for Range Rover.

CIRCUIT OPERATION
This operates only with the engine running, which is determined by the HEVAC panel. In the off state, the signal is at 12 volts. When the Heated Front Windscreen is activated, the signal is switched to 0 volts. This provides the ground required for relay 5 to be pulled in, as there is an ignition feed on the other side of the coil provided by relay 15. This relay energises one half of the heated screen elements.
Once relay 5 has been energised, a 12 volt signal is provided to the coil of relay 4. The other side of the coil is connected directly to ground, thereby energising the relay and switching on the other half of the elements.
There is also a feed spliced from the harness which provides the petrol Engine Control Module with a signal that tells the unit there will be a large electrical.

So I guess you should check relay 15 too.

Just a stupid question, you do have engine running;).

Cheers for that no engine wasn’t running was testing with multi tester but engine was running when the fault came up with it on nanocom

Hi Pete,as @marjon said, ignition powers relay 15 which earth's relay 4 which provides power to passenger side heated screen and powers relay 5 for the driver's side windscreen.i had this when a new screen was fitted, the driver's side wasn't working turned out the fuse box had been changed for the wrong one.I got round it by swoping the wiring in the violet plug .

Yer checked that violet plug Alan all good there nanocom saying constant fault c I’m not sure but I mabey because I’ve not installed all the dash yet as got to check out right blend motor saying pointimeter fault
