Refreshing a 21 Year Old 300Tdi??

After falling completely out of love with my 1996 90 CSW big time September last year, it lived in the garage on and off of a smart charger until 2 weeks ago. For various reasons, mainly my daily driver being jinxed, I want to give the old girl a bit of a spruce up so it's nicer to drive. I'm 99% sure it has a small boost issue so point 4 and 5 are mainly to cover that, but will check the turbo for excessive play too.

Currently I am considering getting the following work carried out:
1)Replace old suspension with OEM springs and shocks(the drivers side is sitting a good inch lower than passenger side)
2)Replace any perished rubber bushing on the ARB and any other components that have perished bushes
3)New starter motor(I think the solenoid sticks when it's hot and won't start for 10 minutes after refuelling occasionally)
4)Inlet/Exhaust Gasket(there's a small oil weep from the front, also boost issue)
5)Silicone boost hoses
6)EGR delete depending on my mechanic and his views on the upcoming MOT changes
7)Wash out inlet and intercooler

Anyone have any other suggestions or advice? It would be much appreciated.

Well, those jobs are all DIYable, so ..... DIY 'em.

1) IIRC, springs are cheap - I'd fit better gas shocks though.
2) full polybush all round IMHO
3) Just replace the starter solenoid if that's the bit that's kaput
4) Fit a (boost) guage - it'll tell you everything you need to know
5) Choose a nice colour !!
6) Would be interested to know your MOT man says about the EGR .....
7) Always worth doing...

Other job's would include a clutch servo if it's a manual, and a bl@@dy good clean underneath and some proper anti corrosion treatment.

Thanks for the advice, I get mates rates so I could spend an entire weekend beating myself up or let him do it and save myself loads of hassle. It'll be getting serviced soon so will see what he recommends.

1)I'm after something that looks as standard as possible, so would want the shocks to be black and not some form of yellow. Will have a search around the WWW
2)Polybushing is an option I guess, they're easier to fit too from what I've read.
3)Will have a look and see if the starter is a decent one or not, if it's a named brand then I could just replace the solenoid.
4)Never really considered fitting one but that could be an idea, I like gauges too.
5)Black silicone ones will do the job for me
6)If he says it will cause a fail I'm going to make myself an inlet pipe with a dummy EGR pipe coming off of it so it's still blanked completely

What will a new clutch servo do?? Stupidly haven't done any anti corrosion treatment in the last 3 years, although it doesn't venture out in the winter, the rear cross member is starting to look a bit rusty.
