Hello ,

Have reviewed a CSV file I downloaded from my nanocom following the EGR removal.
When the EGR was fitted I had an ambient pressure of 98 and a turbo pressure of 100 when engine at idle.
After removal the ambient pressure was 98 but the turbpp pressure is 58 again when engine is at idle.
Other major difference is the ambient temp. It was only 8 degrees C after the EGR removal comared to 15C when it was fitted.

Any ideas why? PDF of reading attached, Yellow is with EGR Green is removed.

Hi, did you clean the MAP/IAT sensor after EGR removal?, cos it's possible that the unrestricted air flow in the inlet manifold dislodged some muck and contaminated it cos both the MAP and IAT readings are low so if you didnt clean well the manifold too take a look to the MAP sensor and give it a clean, it's impossible that the MAP(incorrectly named ''turbo pressure'' there) to be much different than the AAP at idle if the sensor is ok

about which ''ambient temp' reading are you talking? ... that from the aircon unit?

Ambient temp = outside air temp.

I agree about the "turbo pressure " which is what it is called in the nanocom csv file. It should be at idle the same or only slightly different from the "ambient pressure"

I will give the MAP another clean to check, I cleaned it last week , will give it another go.

Is the "turbo pressure" shown in the instruments section on nanocom a real pressure reading or is it calculated do you know?

Hi Siera ferry,

well the MAP sensor, did not appear to be dirty but can not hurt, so cleaned it anyway.

Then refitted, now in nanocom instruments the MAP sensor reads -0.46 and in the fuel inputs page it measured 53.

I am guessing my MAP sensor is fubarred. Any ideas on what to try next?

Anyone got a recommendation to buy a new one?

Just looking at the data, looks like the old MAP went downhill fairly quickly from good to fubarred. Would not have known there was a problem without the nanocom.

Now to go change the ride height sensor.
