Reduced transmission

My 2015 discovery sport hse luxury has gone into reduced transmission 2 wheel drive only. Tested the rear pump and although nothing happened at first it did fire up. Took the car for a ride out with several breaks along the way then after about 2hours it was back , the car is also showing low battery please start engine although the battery is good and has a good charge from the alternator. Looking for any advice before i let the garage get to it . thanks in advance

I dont know the car, but knowing modern LRs if it flicks up battery low, add to that another alarm for what seems no reason. I would have to say battery is trying to tell you something. Have the battery tested properly.
Is it the original battery?

If you do change the battery get the biggest capacity you can in the space.
