Im shortly going to be rebuilding both my front doors on my 90 as the bottoms have rusted through. they wobble lots and sag loads.

im going to buy new hinges and new bolts along with a new winder mech for the passenger side. will i need the hinge gaskets and hinge buffers ive just found on the land rover orphange site? if i need the buffers, how many?

as the internals will be coming out of the exisiting doors i need to get it done in a day. will i be better off purchasing the window channels and seals etc from new? rather than taking them out of the old doors.

im going into this one a little blind. but it looks like im only really going to have trouble with the lock mech and position of the window winder. is there anything else i should look out for?

i've got a bloody good pair of doors for sale if yer interested.
Absolutely solid, all new seals & channels, all refurbished. Currently in primer (planned ter paint em blue before selling).
Could meet yer half way fer the right price, if yer aint comin down this way.
Open to sensible offers.
I were gonna fit em on mine, but then I got a 2yr old pair wiv leccy winders fer a bargain price.
 
i knew i should have put on my post that i wasnt interested in your doors tre!

only cos i got new doors here that need building up. out of curiosity how much would you be looking at? does they inc. hinges? i will come get em off you if i do so dont budget in travel exp.!

Got everyfink except hinges! Including new lock cylinders wiv 2 keys.

They cost me 200 squids plus many hours of labour and anuvva 50 squids in parts and paint. I'd let them go fer 250 to a mate.

If yer interested and dunt want em blue, let me know cause I plan to top coat em this weekend.
 
kinda interested... depends how much i can get for my plain doors, and the old ones with internals... hmmm. no i dont want the blue! i got some deep bronze green on the way :) and im also coming to cornwall on fri. its almost as if i SHOULD buy you doors :)

anyone seen how much new (take offs?) go for on ebay? front pair.

nope why, whooosh? did i miss something? it would save me a load of ball ache and ordering parts and stuff... i dunno, im gonna have to chew on it and see what return i can get on my doors... anyway "broken legs is moaning" im off to bed.

brand new "naked" doors, in primer, are 160 squid each plus 30 groats postage. If that's wot you've got then maybe you could get more than 250 for the pair?
