Reassembly of the cooling system

So now i have everything off and waiting on new parts what is the best way to put it back together?

im guessing its....

1) fit new water pump
2) fit new belts
3) viscous fan back on
4) fan casing back on
5) refit radiator and intercooler,

now here is where im not sure

6) top up cooling system and burp/gurgle?
(i assume just top it up and let it run with the cap off and exhaust the air from the system? is this all there is?)

Sometimes getting all the air out isnt as easy at that. Ive read these suggestions on the forum:
*ensure theres no coolant in the pipe from the radiator to the header tank as this stops the air from bleeding out of the rad
*fill pipes up individually
*clamp pipes 90% closed to ensure a stronger water flow to help get the air out - obviously do this one with care!
*raise the header tank
*partically release each pipe to ensure there is water flowing through
