Rear wiper park switch?

Hello again

Sorry to be a pain, but does anyone know the location of the rear wiper park switch....I have a problem with my rear wiper...it works, but it WILL NOT return to the 'park' position

Due to this I am unable to fully lower my rear window.

I have a 05 three door Freelander

Hi

As far as i know the park switch will be located within the motor itself have you tried looking on Rave

Spoke to an independant Landrover garage today, who said that if the motor is of a early type? the motor will need to be replaced. But if it is a later model type it maybe a relay thats at fault. Its located on the rear right hand side of the suspension turrent behind the plastic cover.

Just a quick update

After reading serveral notes

I checked the seal on the detachable roof (basically went all around it tapping the roof to ensure a good fit). The wiper now parks itself. (May have been tee microswitch was not seating properly)

Brilliant! that microswitch when released usually causes the tail-door window to automatically drop down and stay down until the switch is either pressed or the roof refitted. This rear wiper parking issue is obviously something to watch out for in the future. Many thanks for your feedback about the fix. D..
