hi im fitting a heated rear window but ther is no wiring so how easy or hard is it and what do i need? is it just earth one side and put and in line swich on the positive side? HELP!!!!! lol

Have you anything? Like the switch to the right side of the steering column? If you've anything there it may make the job simpler. If not, yes it's as simple as you describe.
Out of interest, have you picked up a new window with an element fitted or are you fitting a self adhesive type aftermarket element? If a new window, have you checked continuity from one end of the element to the other. Don't want to fit it & find it ain't working anyways!

Thats about it, just make sure the switch is up to the rating and that you pull the power off one of the fuses that has the capability for the extra ampage - also a good idea to use both an illuminated switch and make sure that you pull the power off one of the lines that is switched by the ignition otherwise you run the risk of leaving it on and flattening the battery.
Although if you do this atleast you will have a heated hand warmer when you are pushing it home!!!

I'm no expert mate but I would definatley think you would need an inline fuse and a relay

ok, thanx! iv got 2rear doors that are not up to much but im makin a good door out of 2, no ther is no wiring ther at all!! what amp fuse would you use 30amp?

Depending on the age of your 90. You will probably find the wiring is already fitted. As Land Rover design them to be universal vehicles.
Slip the right hand rear light box cover off and remove the switch panel from the dash.
It would help if you had a wire diagram at least it would tell you what colour wire your looking for. You could trace it from the fuse box or some one on here may be able to help you out with that one. I would fit the proper L/R heated window swith for two reasons the first is it will be rated to take the power you are putting through it and it looks original.

the ex-owner of mine cut the wire and its now used to power the worklight! its amazing what all my panel switches do... none of them do what their ment to do!
