Yesterday I closed the (electric) rear window and when I later opened the rear door I noticed the window had gone up too far and was outside of the rubbers.

The window won't open or close now, it just beeps at me :(

Anything I can do before my husband returns home and throws a wobbly at me?

Thanks very much for the link Andy, much appreciated, and Mark you say it seems a common fault, thanks for that too! I'll tell that to my husband when his eyes start rolling towards heaven when he sees the window.

It's happened to a few people on the forum. Send your husband to LandyZone, he'll go easy on you then

Happened on mine shortly after I got it, so I feared the worst! But noticed the door wasn't closed completely  Closed this up and it started behaving again!

Oh I can better that Andy, shortly after we bought mine the head gasket blew.

Have printed off the instructions for the window and when my husband has finished playing with his tractor I'm sure he'll fix it for me. If not watch this space!

Hope everyone has a great week-end, sure looks like being a hot one.

A 1.8 owner then I assume?! :p
V6 all the way :)

Yeah looks gorgeous over here too (Guernsey)! Should be a good weekend!!!

Not good news I'm afraid. The cable had snapped and one end had tightly entangled itself around the regulator (?).

I searched on the internet and found the cheapest new part on ebay. I also sourced one locally and returned there this morning with the ebay print off. He matched their price (knocking approx £25 off his original price).

It's now awaiting fitting by my husband later today.

Missymoo ,Ya can always tidy up the mess with the cables [disconnect battery and make sure ya have radio code] re crimp with correct type cable and follow the correct place with cable ties so the same thing don't happen again, and follow cables like for like and don't worry if ya only have one colour cable to replace damaged ones, when battery is re connected go through the key fob re set procedure[think its three locks with all windows up and all doors shut] and you must make sure your rear window is in the correct place before you do this, best oh luck. . .:)

when my husband has finished playing with his tractor. . .Erm Missy, is he a farmer or a disco driver ?. . .
