rear window switch / lock

hi ive got a V reg 3 door freelander , it has started to play up , when you drive along the interior light comes on indicating the rear door is open , the window does not wind down as if you were opening the tail up , also when the alarm is set over night it has started to do the same setting the alarm off , i have tried to adjust the door catch but to no avail it still does it , is there any way of adjusting the switch which controls the window linked in with the door lock ???

does the glass go up and down as it should,using the switch?

IF ITS GOT THE DETATCHABLE ROOF. . . . . .Then it might be the roof switch playing up [ detects difference tween soft top and hard top]

hi there thanks for the responses , the window does work on the switch providing the open door light has not come on , when it is on it will go down on the switch but not up , you have to get out open the tail door and slam it shut it then will go up on the switch ,

it is a 3 door with a removable roof , we have had the roof off once to see how easy it was so when we get a nice day we know what to expect , that was about 4 weeks ago , the problem started about 1 week ago ,
