Hi,

My new Disco had intermittent rear window one side, the other never worked. I've pulled the ECU and resoldered some dry joints, also cleaned all the switches. The intermittent side is OK now, but I still cannot get the other side to work.

Any ideas what to check next?

Process of elimination as usual. But you could start with looking at where the wires come off the B post and into the door as they have a bit of a rep for chafing through there.
Best of luck!:):):)

have you put a new power supply on the motor to see if it actually works, just because it has power doesn't mean it works
Quite.
The motors, well the front ones at least, can be prone to getting waterlogged. Also the mechanisms can get stiff.
Have come across both of these. eminently fixable tho.

Thanks chaps, finally got a DMM on the motor supply, and all looks good, so pretty confident it's the motor. Seems like it may be seized.
Should be easy enough to take out, dry off, lubricate and run without any mechanical resistance.
Best of luck!

Sadly motor is seized solid, and the regulator teeth have rusted badly too, so looks like I'm replacing both.
Fur nuff on the motor, but being tight I'd work hard on freeing off the regulator unless the teeth have literally rusted away.
anyway, at least the diagnosis is over!
Best of luck with the rest!
