Rear window not waiting in the down position when opening the door.

I have done a search on this but not found anything simular in the back door problems department. I have just had a new back door handle put on as mine was broken and now the window does not stay in the down postion when the door is open. It just pops back up meaning that you have to hold the door handle down in order to shut the door. Otherwise the glass will just bang against the seal. The battery has not been disconnected but is it the same for door handle replacement? The window was fine before replacing the handle. Any ideas?

have the wires been switched, up for down and vice versa, has the window been calibrated.

In all other aspects the window is working perfectly, just tried opening it with the fob and then closing it with the key and all this was fine. Usually with these connectors for things, the connector can only be pushed in one way anyway. I don't think it's that. As said before it all works as it should bar the dropping and staying where it should whilst the door is open. Is there some other switch that could be faulty?

yes there is a micro switch in the handle and then there is a ccu that makes it all happen.

The handle is brand new and comes complete with micro switch. Where is the CCU? Any idea of cost for a replacment?

Like an earlier post have you calibrated the window, if not then do a search on here on how to do it and see if it cures the problem
