New to the Disco world after my classic RR fell to bits !

Rear washer button makes the pump go but no water appears on rear window - any ideas ?

And any ideas of things I would need to check and sort out as a priority appreciated ( washer obviously not a priority !)

Thanks:)

If you have let the water run low it can take an age to pump water through the system again (or at least it does on mine). Otherwise it could be worth checking that water is getting through, try unplugging the washer pipe and see if anything comes out the washer may just be blocked and could poss free up with a pin although you can get a new replacement for about £3 iirc.

oh and :welcome2:

Just changed mine (only a couple of quid off ebay), was completely bunged up and couldn't be shifted wi a pin. When ya worked it water was forcing it's way through the join where the pipe meets the jet and running down the piller into the boot floor.

If ya aint already checked get the carpet and sound proofing up and check to see if the floors rotten and wet. My boot floors almost none existant!

mine was the same when i got it turned out it was the non return valve seized got a new one off ebay for a mini £1 if you have to change it let me know I'll talk you through it as it is a bugger to get to :)

hi Palace - is the non return valve the little black connecter thingy behind washer tank?
tried to take tank out to look at all the pipes but cant get to the bolts holding it on at the bottom !
And yorkie - lifting the boot carpet now lol !
thanks all for help so far - even if i not sorted it yet !

Andi yes thats the one i had to go under the wing and grind my bolts off ofr access hth :)

finally ground off the washer nuts - def seems to be the one way valve not working replacing it ! now to sort out the water leaks into the passenger footwell.
What would I do on a sunday without a Land rover product to play with...!

If the hose itself is blocked I always found an airline helpful to unblock it but be careful if solid blockage could damage pipework

Very true, I did that on a Mondeo I had and discovered there's a joint just above the drivers side passenger seat, or rather the passenger found out when I went to wash the rear window and gave them a shower:eek::D
