my disco has been handling really bad since going the p&p site recently, it wobbles down the road and swerves wen accelerating or braking.

is these pics of the rear trailing arms normal? i'v never had a close look at this before but the bit of metal looks like its meant to be against the rubber bush but is loose and moving around. one side is worse than the other. how is it fixed or a new part needed?

cheers

i would reccomend not driving it until fixed as it is in a real bad way, bushes are quite easy to replace, either use genuine or get a poly bush kit and replace all the bushes on the suspension links about a days work with the right kit and will make real differance to handling

is the round bit off metal (the washer type of thing) not part of the arm and its come apart?
the large round thick washer is held up against a shoulder on the arm and the thickness of bush with another large washer and nut on other side holds it all tight, maybe if you treated it really badly at the pp you have pushed the wassher back as it looks bent but if you get a kit you get all those bits with it

ye i did give it some abuse this time. would the suspension lift make this worse?

i'll get the bits ordered asap. how long would u expect changing just these take?

how long is piece of string , lift will have put a bit of extra strain on tired bushes thats why a complete makeover should be considered, get out side in morn and start soaking all nuts and bolts with good release fluid which will give you head start, polybush kits are normally easier to fit without need for a press but some help would be good if you not done any before, not sure if buster has done a "how too" in the vehicle section worth doing a search
