Rear subframe

Has anyone ever rubber mounted the rear subframe.

I've just done 250 miles with some pretty rough rubber washers between the chassis and the subframe. The difference in the car is amazing. All the bumping and banging that comes from the rear normally has disappeared.

All I did was put 4 pieces of pushbike innertube between each mounting point and the chassis and bolted it up tight.

Any views?

That sounds an interesting option... how long did it take you?

No long. I just jacked it up and loosened the bolts slid the rubber between the subframe and the chassis and tightened everything back up then jacked up the other side and did the same. I've done a few thousand miles since and it seems to be OK. Checked it this morning while I was underneath doing th front bushes and it's all still there. The cracked chassis is also still there but its not getting any worse and its not making a noise.
