rear sits on bump stop front ok p38

Hi i have recently bought a p38 diesel
When i 1st got the car over night the rear would sit down onto its bump stops and the front would still be sitting as high as it should making the car look silly.
Then the rear air bag went on the drivers side so i had to replace this and the air compressor.
This didnt make much difference so i changed the other side rear air bag too.
Then the car wasnt as bad but it was still lowering at the back (though not all the way down to its bump stop)
So i tried removing the fuse so the car doesnt try to self level itself when its off but the cars the same
I dont know what else to check as its both sides at the rear and i spoke to the land rover dealer and they suggested i checked the air lines above the axle for leaks but this is hard as you cant see all the pipes and getting soapy water on them is gonna be hard.
Also if each airbag is independant and has its own air line from the valve block could it be a coincidence that both pipes could be leaking?
sorry for writing so much but i dont know what else to check?
could it be the valve block o-rings
any help would be appreciated so much

I had this problem with my Range as well, it wen't away when I changed my air bags to new Arnott Industry Generation II bags, ($750 For the set). I also read that it also has to do with how leveled the surface where the car is parked is.

hi thanks for getting back to me but i've tried parking on flat ground and also by removing the fuse its not able to self adjust when the cars off
so still not sure what to do
also the bags i changed to were genuine

you could have faulty height sensors, if it was leaking from the pipes you should hear it.

you need to find an independant lr specialist that has either rovacom, autologic or testbook to hook it up to their computer and tell you exactly whats going on.

It sounds like it only goes down over several houors over night.
If its that slow a leak you want hear it. First of all check the air pipes where they enter the springs as it could be there you may need to cut of a small piece of the tube and reinsert them. else its check hoses and possibly valve block.
Sensor fauilt will not lower car over over several hours, usually does this as soon as it tries to self leval.

thanks i found it was the pipe that enters the rear air bag and cut it and it was fine all weekend and now its started to leak more and its difficult to push in as its in a tight gap,and the pipes got shorter as ive had to cut it
so least i know what it is and may even find out if its possible to re-pipe the air spring all the way to the valve block as extending the old pipe may make the diameter of the pipe smaller meaning that air bag takes longer to inflate

Hi, you can extend the line by buying a bit of 6mm and a connector, that may do the trick for you. Regards, Andy
