Freelander 1 rear seat issues

hello all,
im here to ask yet another stupid question

ive fitted a full leather interior today in my FL1 but i am having an issue with the rear seat behind the driver (so the bigger of the splits) it will not go back up from folded, it will only lift about half way then seems to jam. the other side of the rear seats works fine so i am at a bit of a loss as to whats happened ?
any ideas folks.

There's an internal fault with the locking lever. The same can happen retuning the seat to the normal position too.
The seat needs stripping, so the fault can be fixed, mine had a bent part inside iirc.
