hi guys

oils been pishing out my 2.5 na rear crank seal for years an i can live with that (good for the chassis:)) but its finaly got onto the clutch:( an that,s despite drilling a big hole in the flywheel housing several years ago.

has anyone done one with the engine in situ? book says engine out but me thinks not but i have been wrong before (often:mad:) and please don't tell me to rip it out an put in a TDI! 67hp is just fine for me.

cheers

i'm sure it's quicker and makes more sense mate but i'm out in the sticks with no shed or liftin' gear. my old girl,s got a 2" lift so if i go for doing it the wrong way round i can do it at home without even jacking it up an it don't even matter if it rains! + if i take the lump out i just know i'll want to put a TDI in! (which is what i secretly yearn for) but thats a couple of years away in the grand plan. so what do ya think is it poss?
