Hello everyone, I am new here and new to Defenders. Have just bought a 90 HT and am pleased as punch with it.

I would like to afford some protection to the read loadspace though. I have got one of the Landrover plastic tray type inserts which protects the central well of the load space but I would like to sort something out for the top of the wheel arches.

Can anyone point me to a suitable supplier or product please?

Cheers, Mel.

A thin sheet of ply will do a good job. If you want it to look a bit posher yu can always stick some carpet on the ply. Or if you want really posh Machine Mart do Rolls of rubber matting you can cut to size and stick to the wheel boxes.

Theres a company that does a spray on liner that covers the full floor & wheel boxes. They advertise in most landy mags. But they int cheap.

I used 1/2" thick rubber mats, which are intended for lining the floors of horse boxes. It's cheaper and much tougher than the Machine Mart stuff. Good for sound proofing and insulation as well.
Get it from your local equestrian supplies outlet.
I attached mine using the thick double-sided tape, intended for attaching number plates - it's waterproof and sticks like **** to a blanket.

I've got the 12mm Rubber insulated machinist matting Ribbed fer his & her Pleasure and it's elecktrikkery insulated to 6Kv so handy if yer werking near any power supplies. It's fooking heavy as fook though. I reckon a 5mtr roll 1mtr wide, weighs about 50kg.
