Hello,
Second post after lurking about and reading for a long time.

This question pertains to 1992 D90, originally delivered to Spain in LHD/200Tdi configuration.

At some point in the truck's life, the previous owner replaced the rear door window with a non-heated piece. When this was done, the proper metal retaining strips were not used....just gobs of sealant and a make shift seal on the outside of the glass.

What I can not figure out is the truck only has one wiring lead coming out of the door frame to hookup to the tab on a heated window. All of the replacement windows have two tabs and all trucks I have seen have two leads coming out of the door frame, assuming one ground and one power.

The truck has a rear wipe/wash as well as the switch for the heated rear window that when engaged illuminates the light on the instrument panel. I have included a picture of the one wiring lead coming our of the frame. I have yet to take the rear door card off as the previous owner has riveted it on.

Looking for suggestions/information on the configuration I have and what I need to do to get a rear heated window to work.

Thank you,
Matthew

You will probabl;y find that the earth tab is taken from the door frame and the other tab is for the power.
Check that you have power delivered locally, and if it is, then all should be good

Thank you for the help, so just a wire from the top tab on the window to a screw for the retaining strips.
