Series 3 Rear fuel tank to fuel pipe connection

Morning campers.
I'm clearly being thick.
I've fitted a new *hitpart fuel tank and am now trying to connect the fuel pipe to it.
I've looked at the schematic drawings but still can't figure it out.
Am I missing something?

Is there another bit of pipe needed?
Please help!

Could be worse, I spent 15 minutes at the side of the road trying to work out why the bloody thing had stopped before I noticed the coil lead wasn't on the coil. It's not even as if it's hard to see
