Rear Door?

As in the boot.

The rear door handle has been getting worse as in not resetting it's self, it took 5 minutes yesterday just for it to reset so i could close it.

Is it likely to be the actual actuator or the handle?

Mine can be the same. Works fine for weeks, then plays up for a few days, then works ok again. I find a repeated gentle tap around the lock area tends to do the trick, or just repeating the opening action until it "wherrs" back into position.

I have searched this before and I am pretty sure it's more likely to be the actuator than the handle.

There are a couple of small springs in the handle that rust before they leave the factory. When these fail the handle won't fully return to its resting position, causing the actuator to remain energised. Try stripping down the handle and giving the springs a good clean and coating in grease.
