Stupid question: how to get it off?

I haven't actually had a proper look, but just wondered if it was easy as it seems...

I think someone's shifted it down in the past to improve rear visibility so it now looks like this:

Tis easy to get off , remove your door trim and you'll find the nuts that go on the end of them screws , also the nuts for the bars ( basically a sandwich plate ) .

If you want to leave it off tho , you gotta filll the holes that are left
