So, my P38 apparently has a leak through the rear door seal, because every now and then my boot is full of water.
I had a look around the seal today and it is very wet on the part that should be sealing against the boot door so I believe that's where the problem lies.

Looking around for a new rear door seal (BHK720020) I found that it costs around £250!!!! 250£ for a piece of rubber!!

I think i'm just going to drill holes in the boot :(

Seal the boot as per service bulletins. Bit of bending, bit of gas tape, a bit of silicone in the right place is all that is needed. Easy job.

Does anyone have the TSB number ?
My local version of RAVE doesn't have the TSBs and I'm on slow internet here and it would take me a day to download the one from the Howto section.
With the TSB number I may just get lucky googling it.

Not sure you need the TSB, I just pulled the seal off and adjusted the flange it fits on with my trusty hammer.

Google isn't helping here so I guess I'll just have to download the other copy of RAVE.

If I'm reading into this correctly, I just need to remove the seal and bend the flange outwards, so that it will move the rubber towards the upper and bottom rear doors, thus providing a better fit and seal ?

Yep, only need to do the top corners, at least that's all I had to do.
Put some silicone grease on before you start and shut the tailgate, you will see when you open it where the seal is not touching the tailgate.

It's not usually the seal to the tail gate that leaks it were the seal goes over the lip just above where the tailgates meet because the lip in that area is sometimes angled inwards. Water runs down and under the seal then down into the boot. You need to bend the lip out in this area 5 mm then put a strip of gas tape over the lip for the seal to grip, squeeze the seal up and put silicone in the groove of the seal before refitting it. :)

I guess they are all different, you could see the water dripping in mine from the top nearside corner.
