Hi all,

Following an unfortunate encounter with post, I have had to replace the rear window and strengthen/straiten the rear door. The door is pretty knackered anyway, but my plan is to replace the doors with galvanized eventually.

Whilst I there I am doing some jobs that need doing and one of these trying to get the rear wiper to work. It did used to work slowly, but then died completely. Having done some tracing of the problem there is no continuity in the the positive (red/green) from the switch on the dash to the connector behind the panel at the rear of the boot - all other cables are ok. The motor on the actual wiper is also knackered - as I have tried it with a 12v source - so I will get a P38 one and replace. I intend to make my own wiring loom for the motor and the heated widow, as I think I can make a better job of it than the existing one. Some questions, which hopefully you can help me with:

1) Any experience on the best way of running an new cable out to the wiper? Inside or along the chassis with the others?

2) Can you buy the motor connectors? Connecting the door loom to the main loom in the rear of the boot isn't a problem, as I will just use my own system of connectors and at the window and wiper switch ends it's just standard spade connectors, but I would like to use new motor connectors if I can.

Any other advice very welcome.

Kind regards,

James
