My 90 does not have rear wiper, heated screen or c/l.
I was thinking of running the electrics there..
Should I just buy a new second hand door from a later model or source all the parts to add to mine?
Should I run a loom from a later model or run bespoke wires?
Finally anyone selling any bits :)

Adding that to an old door will require.....

1 x rear wiper motor
1 x rear wiper arm
1 x rear wiper blade
1 x rear motor shafter rubber grommet

= £50 on ebay

1 x heated rear window

= £80

1 x central locking motor FUB500060 @ £46.74+vat
1 x bell crank rear end door cdl dec FQF000040 @ £4.84+vat
1 x seal door lock cover plate rear def FRN500020 @ £1.37+vat

(britcar + £4.95+vat postage) = £58.89

1 x safari door card with lump for wiper motor

<> £100 ??

1 x loom or relevant wire/crimps etc

<> £20 ??

so over £300 plus the door

I was thinking of doing the same thing to mine..............................Think ill stick to my trusty shower glass squeegee.:D

Having done that with an l200 one it is not too difficult to wire up. If logic fails you then find ground and ignition live then guess the other two. If you get it wrong you will just blow the fuse. Then try the other way.

Or you could just keep an eye on ebay and get a door with it all already, then you just need electrics. I got my door for maybe £100 off ebay - with the heated window and wiper. Not got central locking, but that could be done by buying the central locking lock (with the bit of metal sticking out to connect to an actuator). I took a look and at one point went for about £30 on ebay.

Check behind the drivers side rear panel that covers the lights electrics at the back - it may have stuff there already.

You need the other items I mentioned because the central locking bar comes out of the TOP of the latch not the bottom and therefore there is no space for the central locking solenoid. The parts I specified allow you to fit it then just use a standard £5 door solenoid fitted at 45 degrees to the side under the door card.
