Rear door dont lock

Anything obvious i should check before i have to put it in the garage AGAIN
When i lock central locking off the key all doors and boot lock except rear driver side door.

What year and model are we talking? Sounds like it could be the lock actuator motor.

also agree that if that’s the only one that doesn’t work very likely it’s failing , does the window operate ok

don’t think there’s much difference between the D3 and rrs internally apart maybe from the different design of the door card

u really need to replace it sooner than later as if the lock fails completely u can be in a lot of trouble as the door will be in superlock mode

At least in the mean time remove the door card , if u have trouble opening the door u can try using ur keyfob by pressing unlock and at the same time try opening the door handle from the outside

also after a while the remote will stop working as all they have a time out feature , give it a few seconds and then try again

best to buy a genuine because the cheap ones don’t last

Also a little rip, in the instructions it says to hold the glass up with tape, I used window suckers which made life a lot easier , get the single ones, double ones arnt curved like the glass is

white clips hold the glass onto the runner motor , just use a ruler between the clips and glass

have done several on mine so if u get stuck plse don’t hesitate to ask on here

thks, reason I asked is that we then know power is getting to the door , inside the door actuator there 2 x motors one locks the other opens ,

but just wished to say really want to replace that actuator before it refuses to open all together
