Hi Every one at LZ,just a week ago my 94 V8i disco started making a mettalic scraping sound:eek:,From the rear of the car, not all the time !,intermittently!!, now its getting worse particularly when i make a right hand turn [only the drivers side rear seems to be doing it]PLEASE can anyone shed some light onto my Dilema please..:)and if anyone can tell me about changing my own REAR BRAKE PADS .......................................THANKX heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeePS:rolleyes::D

does sound like your pads are overdue for replacement and also you may have play in the wheel bearing. remove the roadwheel first and check that there isn't a stone lodged in there as I had one in mine after some off road work.

pads on these are no probs mate, shouldnt take no loger than 10 mins if they are like the ones on my 200tdi.
jack up
take wheels off
remove brake fluid resivoir cap
remove split pins in caliper
remove pads
push pistons back slowly
place new pads
place split pins
replace resevoir cap
pump brake place wheels on
and your away again.
wd40 may be a good thing to hand for the split pins.
also dont rule out the wheels bearing possibility. in the middle of doing the bearings myself this weekend.
