Just had a bump and broke the fog/reversing light cluster and the plastic cover on the rear bumper ( see photo ). I have looked in the Haynes manual but can only find instructions for removing the compete bumper.
Can anybody tell me if the plastic bit that has cracked can be changed with out removing the whole bumper. I have found the plastic bit on eBay , should be here later this week so would like to have a go this W/E.
Any instructions or advise would be very usefull.

Don't know about d2s but on the d1 behind the bumper there's a couple of nuts to undo And it just falls out, lie on the floor head under the bumper and look up, can you get your hands in there? I would have thought you must be able to otherwise how do you change bulbs. It can't be bumper off every time just for bulbs.

Depends if you can get the nuts undone ... a few years of mud and whatever ...

the wiring just unplugs ... you may have to unbolt the bumper from there on -

don't do it on your own the bumper's very heavy ... unless you've got an axel stand you could pop under just in case ...

the bumper should 'tilt up and forwards' then pull back and away ...

That look like a facelift rear bumper cluster to me. If so then there's a small clip behind the bumper, on the end nearest to the centre-line of the vehicle which has to be pressed firmly and the whole unit can then be pushed out.

The outer edge of the light cluster also has some lugs which need to engage in the bumper first before the rest of the cluster can be pushed back in again.

Here's the relevant page from the facelift disco 2 owner's handbook.
