What for would you put front brake parts on the back?

The discs would be too thick, and the calipers would be far too powerful.

The whole braking balance of the car would be upset.

Why did you have this in mind?

Fitting a Disco disc brake rear axle to a Defender with drum rears is a VERY good idea.

O.M.G I have enough probs with my standard stuff!!! now i once put a cosworth rear brake set up on a 2.0 escort with disc's that was a brake bias disaster so DONT DO IT. they dont go quick enough!!!!!!

ALTHOUGH it could be done!!!!!!! open ended enough? Basically bigger disc's, trick pipe work stick some Green stuff pads they do them for a disco, there is a 5 stud citroen set up with drilled/grooved discs that may fit i'm off to look for sizes:rolleyes:

Right it's a no go no aftermarket:p set up G/S Do gaylander stuff but standard sizes only.
remove discs drill em groove em , new pads should improve braking by 2%! not worth it mate

Good plan.

Just because it CAN be done, doesn't mean it is a good idea.

It is possible to make radioactive waste - but is it a good idea?
