Hi Guys
I am looking to add a couple of bench seats in the back of the 90. I see Britpart ones at 60quid, but Exmoor ones at £110.
To my eye they look identical, but I hear so much negative stuff on Britpart.
Is the Exmoor worth the extra loot?
What are the differences?

I don't think there's any difference between the two, both are low cost vinyl jobbies. The PO installed Britpart units in mine. They're rarely used, but very useful when needed. I'd save the money and install Britpart.

Exmore are good, but probably not twice as good as the Britpart seats and as @v8250 says there is likely not much difference.
When you get them rub down and repaint the metal frames and when installing put some thin rubber (like a bit of inner tube) between the fixings and the inner tub cappings.

Okay Folks, I picked up the seats today. The guy in the shop said it would need lap belts to pass an MOT. Now on my searchings, it seemed the consensus that sideways seats did not need belts at all.
Does anyone have any little nuggets of wisdom on the subject. I'm thinking he doesn't know what he's on about, but he is an MOT centre also
Do i get belts, or just not take it for an MOT there lol

Don’t you need the strengthening bar if you go for lap belts? When I removed my side seats in the 110 they had lap belts fitted?

As far as I'm aware it only needs lap belts if originally fitted. If they're fitted then they will be tested during an MOT, if not then they can't be tested. Never heard of anyone failing an mot for lack of belts in an old series for example but a defender may be a different story
