Rear bench seat latch playing up!

04 TD5 with a split 2nd row seat, the single seats latch plate doesnt engage with the pin on the seat back, the pin seams too high, cant see a reason why the seat would be out of place or not resting on the plate under the base.

Anyone got any suggestions what it might be.

I need to strip my Disco's 2nd row single seat down. It doesn't latch, although the seat base does lock into the floor.
